Pensioning off the Raynet Caravan. This was the last time the caravan was used on any
event prior to scrapping. It has been a good friend for many years and we were sorry to
see it go. The pictures show Geraldine RAY 1967 and Brian G3OYU toasting the demise
with champagne donated by our revered County Controller Nigel G1XBV
Working for the British Heart Foundation, this bike ride has a route with a maximum distance
of some 30 miles. The picture, on the left, shows Mercury, to the right of which is the group's push up Clark Mast. The location is under Box Hill, in Surrey, and propagation to the farthest outstation is problematical, hence the 40 foot mast. On the right can be seen Alan G3ZHB and Neville G8NOB operating within Hermes, the new communications control Vehicle for 2008.
