Pensioning off the Raynet Caravan.
This was the last time the caravan was used on any
event prior to scrapping. It has
been a good friend for many years and we were sorry to
see it go. The pictures show
Geraldine RAY 1967 and Brian G3OYU toasting the demise
with champagne donated by our revered
County Controller Nigel G1XBV

The inside of our new mobile communications
centre nick named Mercury. Seen here
operating is Malcolm G0MIC and logging is
Geraldine RAY1967. On the extreme left
can be seen the base section of the pump up
Clark Mast.

Working for the British Heart Foundation, this bike ride has a route
with a maximum distance
of
some 30 miles. On the left you will see Malcolm G0MIC operating,
Geraldine RAY1973
logging and Nigel G1XBV, our County Controller, assisting with the
logging. On the right is
Mercury and to the right of which is the group's push up Clark Mast.
The location is under
Box
Hill, in Surrey, and propagation to the farthest outstation is
problematical, hence the 40
foot mast.
